ASK ME ABOUT The art of straddling the media and nonprofit worlds.
HOW DO YOU JUGGLE YOUR TWO ROLES WITH GREATER CINCINNATI FOUNDATION AND WCPO? It’s a very intentional rhythm to my day. My mornings start at WCPO, where I’m in the studio for Cincy Lifestyle and filming my “Come Have Coffee” interviews, usually wrapping around noon. Then I head to the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, where the focus turns to philanthropy: connecting people, resources, and ideas to the community in meaningful ways.
HOW DO THESE ROLES COMPLEMENT EACH OTHER? They really come together through people and purpose. Many of the individuals I interview are CEOs, changemakers, and leaders at the top of their fields. I love highlighting not just their success but their journey and how they give back. That’s where the connection to the nonprofit world becomes so clear, especially in a community like Cincinnati where generosity runs deep. I get to connect those two worlds—amplifying stories on one side and helping channel impact on the other—and it often starts with a simple conversation over coffee.
WHAT CAUSES ARE YOU MOST PASSIONATE ABOUT? I’m a bridge builder, helping people see that we’re often more alike than we are different. That’s one of the reasons I serve on the board of the Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center, where the work centers on empathy, understanding, and our shared humanity. I’m always looking for the common thread in someone’s journey. It also shows up in my focus on housing stability and education, because when people have a strong foundation and access to opportunity it opens the door for connection, dignity, and long-term change.
