A new year has a way of sharpening our focus and inviting reflection, renewal, and a recommitment to what comes next. As we step into 2026, I’m thinking about our past and our future. This year brings important historical milestones from our past: the 250th birthday of the United States of America and, more relevant locally, the 50th anniversary of both Oktoberfest Zinzinnati and Leadership Cincinnati.
But it’s the future that runs through this Winter issue of Realm. You’ll see it in the O.H.I.O. Fund, where public and private partners are choosing to invest boldly in the future of our region. You’ll see it in the newly renovated Cincinnati Convention Center, a tangible expression of our readiness to welcome what’s next. You’ll see it in StriveTogether, where leaders across education, business, philanthropy, and government are coming together to drive better outcomes for future generations, proving that progress accelerates when sectors align around shared purpose. It’s in the ethos or organizations like La Soupe that use innovative ways to solve community challenges. And you’ll see it in our civic leaders, including the new city manager of Covington.
The start of a new year brings energy and inspiration and, with it, a reminder that growth is something we create. It requires openness, collaboration, and the courage to evolve. As you read this issue, I hope it sparks a renewed commitment to producing growth together—for our economy, our region, and the next generation.
